Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

  • Organizes coordinates and plans operational facets of the programs and related activities.
  • Develops work plans to accomplish program goals and objectives and monitors progress toward their achievement.
  • Ensures vital processes continue uninterrupted at very busy times and monitors processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinates logistical arrangements for meetings, conferences, and travel.
  • Supports program's financial activity and record maintenance, from processing payment requests to invoice payments to tracking and documenting expenditures by category
  • Monitors expenditures and ensures accurate and timely processing of expense reports, reimbursements, and all related expenses.
  • Coordinates and organizes “best practices” materials; keep track of documents, responds to program inquiries, and assists with updates and other tasks.
  • Communicates with national and possibly international program contacts.
  • May supervise assigned project staff, interns and/or volunteers.
  • Performs related responsibilities, as requested.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Works closely with the MBA Program Office staff to contribute to an environment that provides an outstanding academic, professional and personal experience for students.
  • Manages all logistics for the following events, including room reservations, catering, communications, and acting as host/hostess during the event: Dean’s List events, Onboarding welcome, MBA Graduation events, Student Life and Engagement events, meetings with program office staff, various events with the program dean.
  • Supports management of frequently used platforms (e.g., listservs, Teams, OneDrive, Doodle).
  • Serves as departmental liaison to human resources for student employment and additional payment requests.
  • Inventories, tracks and stocks all office items, including nameplates, first aid, and event supplies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Desire to work with a global community.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at once, meet deadlines, detailed, flexible, able to manage relationships.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
