Under the direction of the Director of Admission and Financial Aid, the Admission Advisor is responsible for carrying out recruitment initiatives in accordance with the mission of Emory Nursing. The Admission Advisor communicates directly with admitted and matriculated students to enroll, and retain incoming nursing students. The Admission Advisor also assists in the execution of admission events and programs, both on and off campus, attends national conferences and may assist with the recruitment travel schedule. The successful candidate will be a results-driven, dynamic team player with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and have the ability to interact well with a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Provide general information and answers inquires received via telephone, web based technologies, and walk-in customers regarding the various nursing programs offered and financial aid offerings.
  • Reviews, analyzes and rates applications of students applying for admission
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students throughout the admission cycle, including follow up on application documents and admissions decisions.
  • Plan and organize annual promotional materials.
  • Manage and work with students participating in federal grant programs or externally funded scholarship programs (to include but not limited to: HRSA Nurse Corps, HRSA National Health Service Corps, Veterans Administration, Paul D. Coverdell Scholars).
  • Assist with post-deposit yielding efforts.
  • Advance knowledge of the Slate CRM system as well as PeopleSoft is preferred.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department of work. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
