Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • With a service oriented demeanor, patrols campus and ensures vehicles, including bicycles and scooters, are parked in compliance with campus parking rules and regulations.
  • Interprets regulations and makes decisions on violation applicability.
  • Enters data into computer systems, handheld, or mobile devices to issue citations.
  • Utilizes parking management system to review citation and/or vehicle history.
  • Educates campus community and visitors on rules and regulations.
  • Assists visitors with information on campus locations and directions.
  • Provides support to University events, including traffic coordination and transportation.
  • Observes, analyzes, and reports the need for directional and regulatory signage.
  • Aids motorists in need of assistance.
  • Observes, detects, and reports suspicious activities.
  • Provides written reports, as necessary.
  • May provide backup coverage for dispatch, including radio operations and customer service.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in parking or customer service, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Positions within this classification require a valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record.
  • Positions within this classification are required to lift up to 50 lbs and bend, stoop and twist.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
