Description

Reporting to the School of Medicine (SOM) Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer (CDIO), oversees performance of and optimizes work duties/workload across the Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI).

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Leads, mentors, and develops the program coordinators to ensure they have clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Works closely with the CDIO, Associate Deans and other key stakeholders to support the strategic development and implementation of programs relevant to diversity and inclusion and well-being initiatives in partnership with EmWELL.
  • Participates in local, regional, and national professional societies as appropriate to ensure knowledge sharing and continuous innovation of the SOM activities and programs.
  • Works with the CDIO on the informational campaign to ensure broad knowledge of program offerings.
  • Prepares presentations and reports of the impact of OEI programs including working with OEI staff and SOM data governance entities to ensure integrity of information.
  • Evaluates the current state of OEI programs and gap areas.
  • Works with the CDIO to oversee the OEI budget and optimize the appropriate management of resources.
  • Serves as a liaison to the SOM Communications Office to optimize website content; interactive resources for faculty, leaders, and staff; and toolkits.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.
  • Serves as liaison to the Emory University Office of Equity and Inclusion.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, social sciences or a related field and six years of strategic planning, business operations or related experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Supervisory and higher education experience preferred.

 

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
