A research specialist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jacob Kohlmeier, Department of Microbiology & Immunology at Emory University School of Medicine. Ongoing projects include investigating the cellular and molecular regulation of T cell memory in the respiratory tract, novel influenza vaccine platforms, and immune protection against respiratory virus transmission and pathology using both murine models and human samples. The position will involve maintenance of genetically-modified mouse colonies, basic laboratory upkeep, and experimental benchwork using modern immunological approaches. The ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team is essential.
