Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Supports the digital marketing and communications efforts of Emory Campus Life. Executes social media activities, assesses social marketing performance, and provides effective monitoring and collaborative approaches to enhance communication efforts. Partners with communications staff on creative and administrative tasks.
  • Creates and coordinates content for programs, resources, special event advertising through digital campaigns that support Campus Life's strategic goals, broadens exposure, or promotes the image/brand.
  • Excels in use of communications technology, social media platforms and creative asset development. May coordinate with external vendors. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience in managing social media accounts, creating reels, and cultivating a brand is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or design programs like Canva with strong written and verbal communication skills is preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, graphic design, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in managing social media accounts, creating reels, and cultivating a brand.
  • Creative vision, strong communication skills, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or design programs like Canva with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse constituencies, meet deadlines, be self-motivated, and work independently.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and a customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and a team player.
  • Competency in problem solving.
  • Portfolio and/or samples of past work will be required. This posting will remain open until the position is filled. 

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
