Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Coordinates the shipping, receiving, purchasing activities, and housekeeping activities for the Campus Services warehouse.
  • Travels to local vendors when needed to purchase and/or pick up emergency orders.
  • Make deliveries to the Oxford Campus as needed.
  • Determines and maintains appropriate inventory levels for a warehouse or stockroom.
  • Coordinates warehouse deliveries with various internal customers and Emory areas.
  • Monitors returns to make sure they are processed in a timely manner.
  • Determines materials needed for building maintenance, renovations, and special activities and ensures their availability.
  • Maintains data entry records of shipping and receiving activities.
  • Interacts with vendors and Procurement Specialist to resolve shipping, receiving, delivery ticket, and damaged material problems.
  • Maintains routine maintenance of warehouse vehicles and machinery.
  • Ensures adherence to safety and performance standards in compliance with organizational and federal guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Provides for efficient storage of materials by evaluating physical layout to maximize space utilization and overseeing re-warehousing activities.
  • Performs other related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, and four years of warehouse, stockroom, or materials management experience which includes experience in a lead or supervisory role, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have Forklift Certification.
  • Positions in this classification may require a valid Georgia driver's license, an insurable driving record, the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
