The laboratory of Dr. Anupam Patgiri in the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology at Emory School of Medicine is looking for a motivated Assistant Scientist to work in the areas of metabolism and mitochondrial biology. The candidate will advance the Patgiri lab’s efforts in developing potential therapies for mitochondrial diseases. This position will require working closely with postdoctoral fellows, research technicians, and students. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn metabolomics on the Patgiri lab’s Agilent 6546 QTOF LCMS platform. The candidate is expected to work with animal models of mitochondrial disease either independently or in collaboration with other lab members.
Under minimal supervision, the Assistant Academic Research Scientist performs a wide range of highly technical and complex tasks necessary to advance basic and/or translational research programs.
