JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Student Case Management & Intervention Services (SCMIS), the Associate Director of Student Case Management and Intervention Services plays a pivotal role in providing leadership and support to a team dedicated to non-clinical case management services. The primary focus is on assessing student needs, facilitating referrals to appropriate services, coordinating care, and fostering a supportive campus environment for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. This role also entails overseeing interventions, crisis prevention, de-escalation, and ensuring a streamlined transitions of care for students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A master's degree in a relevant field such as social work, counseling, psychology, higher education administration, or a related discipline, and five years of experience providing case management services within a higher education setting, with a demonstrated understanding of student support services and resources, with at least three years of experience in a supervisory role, including managing and leading a team of staff members in a student services or similar environment, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
- Conducts comprehensive assessments of student needs and develop individualized intervention plans.
- Collaborates with campus partners and resources to meet the needs of students who are experiencing significant disruption to basic needs and crisis.
- Supervises and provides guidance to a team of professionals engaged in non-clinical case management services.
- Fosters a collaborative and supportive team environment conducive to effective student support.
- Provides mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Oversees the electronic records database related to student case management and intervention services.
- Conducts regular audits of electronic documentation for all staff members involved in case management.
- Reviews case notes, assessment forms, and other documentation to ensure compliance with established protocols and standards.
- Provides feedback and guidance to staff members to improve documentation practices and maintain consistency.
- Develops and implements protocols to ensure comprehensive documentation of student cases, interventions, and outcomes.
- Participates in campus committees, task forces, and outreach activities related to student support and intervention services.
- Serves as backup to Director as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
