The Faculty Staff Assistance Program and the School of Medicine (SOM) Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office have established a unique position for a psychologist with extensive clinical skills and experience working with physicians to provide targeted behavioral health, education and outreach services for the over 1,450 medical residents and fellows in training at Emory University.
The Emory University School of Medicine is part of the Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center, which encompasses the components of Emory University concerned with patient care, education of health professionals, research affecting health and illness, and policies for prevention and treatment of diseases. The psychologist will be part of the Behavioral Mental Health team of FSAP, which is the internal employee assistance program (EAP) for Emory University and Emory Healthcare.
The psychologist will provide the following: direct clinical services including comprehensive mental health and well-being assessments, psychotherapy, clinical consultations, coaching services, case management, crisis intervention, critical incident response, fitness-for-duty screenings and coordination of fitness-for-duty evaluations; leadership consultations; training and education workshops, outreach, resource development, program evaluation, and program development. Services will be provided through tele-mental health and onsite at the FSAP Main Office, as well as the satellite location at Cox Hall – Clifton Campus. NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
