The Goizueta Business School is in search of an Associate Director of Advising and Programming in the Graduate Career Management Center (GCMC). This position reports to the Senior Director of Full-time MBA Advising and Programming. We seek an enthusiastic, self-motivated achiever with a detail-oriented and student-centric approach. This individual has a proven track record of initiative, ownership, and collaboration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Associate Director, Graduate Student Advising & Programming:
- Leads career preparation activities, events, and coaching for Full-time MBA students at Goizueta Business School, particularly those interested in careers in finance.
- Develops a career advising strategy for an assigned group of MBA students which includes creating pre-orientation programming for incoming students, developing custom student advising strategies and communication plans, and determining what career preparation workshops and resources will be offered throughout the year.
- Communicates regularly with incoming and current MBA students to ensure an accurate understanding of CMC services and student expectations, requirements, and responsibilities.
- Regularly meets with students to develop individual recruiting strategies and provide personalized coaching support.
- Collaborates with multiple key stakeholders, including Goizueta MBA alumni, the Full-time MBA Program Office, MBA Admissions, and core MBA faculty.
- Evaluates and selects external vendors to ensure high-quality and relevant workshops and resources.
- Participates in the development of departmental goals and objectives.
- Prepares statistical reports and analyzes data.
- Leads special projects.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration or a field related to advising area and five years of student advising, career planning, or related business/industry experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- An MBA is preferred.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
