The Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry is Emory’s interdisciplinary hub for the Humanities. We support innovative research across the full range of humanities disciplines, from undergraduates to faculty, and have a vibrant calendar of events designed to engage the entire Emory community and beyond. Each year, we center our activities around a topical theme. Our 2024-25 theme is "Democracy: Past, Present, Future."
We seek an energetic Program Coordinator with a background in and interest in the Humanities who will support our Senior Program Coordinator as we expand the activities of the Center and its impact within and beyond our campus. This full-time (40 hours per week) fixed-term position reports to the Senior Program Coordinator and is funded through June 30, 2025. The candidate will be expected to live in the Atlanta area and work in-person on Emory’s campus.
The Program Coordinator duties are organizing, coordinating, and planning operational facets of a program and its related activities which include, but are not limited to the following: establishing long-term operational objectives, researching factors that may impact the success of the program, and working with individuals or groups to research and document program requirements in order to provide appropriate input into the development of strategic plans.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills in both written and oral forms and a bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline, as well as experience and interest in event coordination and/or program coordination.
Successful applicants will be highly organized and demonstrate strong attention to detail. An ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams is essential, as is an eagerness to learn new systems and technologies and to problem-solve. Familiarity with the full Microsoft Office suite is required. Experience working in an academic environment is preferred. Bachelor's degree in a humanities field is preferred.
