Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Cleans and maintains various floors surfaces.
  • This includes carpet, wood, marble, vinyl, vct, stone, tile, slate etc.
  • Is capable of operating various cleaning machines and power equipment.
  • Knows and adheres to federal and state safety regulations.
  • Adheres to all PPE requirements.
  • May drive fleet vehicles and be responsible for the daily inspections and safe operations.
  • Could also be assigned primary duties of the Custodian II position.
  • Performs related duties as required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Ability to understand and follow communicated instructions.
  • Three years of custodial work experience.
  • May require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, twist.
  • Able to walk up to 2 miles per day.
  • May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Floor care experience and/or certification.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

 

 

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
