We're looking for a skilled Research Coordinator to join the Center for Infectious Disease Modeling & Analytics and Training Hub (CIDMATH). CIDMATH is one of 13 Centers funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to improve outbreak response using data, modeling, and advanced analytics for ongoing and future infectious disease threats and public health emergencies. CIDMATH’s focus includes developing methods, tools, and integrating existing and novel data streams for infectious disease modeling, coupled with offering state-of-the-art training for the modeling community.
Job Summary: As a Research Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring successful primary data collection on CIDMATH’s social contact studies. You will manage the recruitment, enrollment, maintenance, and incentives of research participants. This will require coordinating and communicating across multiple teams at multiple institutions, including research participants from the general public. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to make important impacts in an exciting public health research environment. The candidate will be under the shared mentorship of several epidemiology faculty, primarily Dr. Sharia Ahmed.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop a system to track progress of tasks and deliverables and create detailed project plans and schedules.
Administrative Oversight: Develop and oversee various administrative processes such as data use agreements, IRB review and approval, and other assigned tasks
Study Participant Management: Manage recruitment enrollment, maintenance, and incentives of research participants.
Communication, Reporting and Documentation: Maintain project documentation, create status reports, and provide regular project updates to stakeholders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This position is intended to support clinical research and all clinical training requirements must be tracked and monitored through Emory Healthcare under the credentialing category of Clinical Researcher.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
