The Program Coordinator duties are organizing, coordinating, and planning operational facets of a program and its related activities which include, but are not limited to the following: establishing long-term operational objectives, researching factors that may impact the success of the program, and working with individuals or groups to research and document program requirements in order to provide appropriate input into the development of strategic plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops work plans to accomplish program goals and objectives and monitors progress toward their achievement.
- Conducts research and gathers information to develop various publications.
- Develops promotional materials which may include content for reports, briefings, newsletters, grants or other written information related to the program.
- Assists in developing and coordinating program-related conferences, conventions, or meetings.
- Monitors expenditures and may participate in the budget planning process and prepare financial reports.
- May assist in identifying funding resources and developing fund-raising strategies and initiatives.
- Prepares operational and statistical reports.
- Conducts training, represents the program at meetings and conferences, and networks with affiliated groups. May supervise assigned project staff, interns and/or volunteers.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
OXFORD LAUNCH: LONDON
- Coordinates multiple administrative aspects of Global Oxford functions including developing short- and long-term goals and objectives, budget planning, and administration assessing program efforts and student satisfaction success preparing departmental and statistical reports, maintaining the web pages and newsletter and utilizing social media to promote programs and outreach.
- Collaborates with Enrollment Services and Campus Life divisions to develop and execute pre-arrival communication plans for incoming international students and students in Oxford Launch: London.
- Assists in recruitment, selection, and training of student leaders who support international students and students in Oxford Launch: London program
- Plans and executes pre-departure and return programming for students in Oxford Launch: London.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROGRAMS
- Assists in planning and implementing the six-day International Student Welcome (ISW) and International Parents’ Program.
- Develops programming that supports students’ positive transition to the United States and Oxford College campus such as cultural awareness workshops and provides individual counseling on cultural adjustments.
- Develops and implements programs that promote a culturally inclusive campus environment and intercultural competency of both international and domestic students such as conversations on cultural identity and diversity dialogues and intercultural communication and leadership workshops.
- Develops programs designed to connect international students with the campus and Oxford communities.
- Leads the International Student Advocacy Board, supports campus culture-interest student organizations.
- Ensures Oxford College campus compliance with SEVIS reporting requirements. Issues initial I-20s and supports registration process of F-1 students each semester
- Advises F-1 students on maintaining lawful non-immigrant status maintains records of F-1 students' immigration and travel documents.
- Communicate with Campus Life and Academic Affairs colleagues on matters that affect the personal and academic success of international students.
CPP RELATED SUPPORT
- Advise and guide students through the application process for study abroad programs.
- Promote study abroad opportunities through various marketing channels and outreach efforts.
- Analyze and assess program data to identify areas for improvement and enhance the student experience.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Some international travel may be required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program.
- Two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
