As part of the management team, the Project Manager collaborates with senior divisional leadership to manage and execute special projects and to provide business support related to external relations, budget and finance, human resources, and operations.

As Project Manager for the School of Medicine Office of Research Administration, this position supports special projects and manages project timelines across multiple research infrastructure units, including Sponsored Research Management Services (SRMS), Integrated Core Facilities (EICF), the Division of Animal Resources (DAR), and the Office of Postdoctoral and Mentored Trainees.
Working primarily with the SOM Research Administrator and SOM Executive Administrator for Research Administration, the Project Manager will support implementation and decision-making across a variety of projects.
Specific examples may include: Managing the CASE tool process for new faculty recruitment and making suggestions for process optimization and improvements; assisting with data pulls, updating and maintaining organizational charts, databases and other key HR and business-related statistics and metrics; coordinating policy development, feedback and review with staff teams, leadership, and partners at Emory; assisting with commitment tracking and forecasting of key financial data; assisting with the creation and editing of presentations for leadership; coordinating agenda development for various leadership meetings, assisting with on- and off-boarding; partnering with the SOM communications team on general announcements, website updates, as well as surveys as needed; managing processes for business operations, and facilitating the planning and organization of annual events such as Core Day and Core Retreat.
May serve as back up approver for Emory Express requisitions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
