Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • The Clinical Assessment Specialist will be responsible for conducting psychological clinical assessments for potential clinic patients and providing coordination of care services for current patients.
  • Activities will include assessing the needs of potential new patients and connecting them to clinical services within the Emory system, offering community referrals using department databases, and providing clinical services as needed.
  • Participates on quality improvement teams related to coordination of care, work on special projects, and collaborate with faculty and staff of the clinic to coordinate scheduling and referrals.
  • The applicant will track all patient contacts and maintain appropriate documentation of clinical assessments and encounters within our clinic electronic system.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree in mental health field (e.g., LCSW, LPC, M.A. / M.S. in Clinical Psychology) plus at least one year of relevant clinical experience.
  • Higher levels of education or experience will be acceptable (i.e. PhD).

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed candidate preferred

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
