This position is with the Emory Centers for Public Health Training and Technical Assistance (Emory Centers). Our mission is to advance public health practice through capacity building in partnership with the public health workforce and communities nationwide. Our four dedicated Centers and 2 coordinating centers have provided capacity-building and community mobilization services in all 50 states and territories over the last 20 years. This position will serve as a key member of the Diabetes Training and Technical Assistance Center (DTTAC) team, specializing in supporting state departments of health and organizations in the scaling and implementation of National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP). Emory Centers’ work is funded by grants and contracts with a wide range of federal agencies, state and local health departments, and national and community-based foundations, employers, and nonprofit organizations. This position will support the work of Emory Centers for Public Health Training, the diabetes training center specifically. Supporting project work for developing and supporting the workforce of Lifestyle Coaches across the country implementing the National Diabetes Prevention Program. This work will include providing project management support for trainings, conferences, communities of practice and online peer learning groups.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
