ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Audio-visual support of the Emory Nursing Learning Center Simulation technology
• Collaborate with AV vendors, Emory OIT network, Elevate, and SON IT to quickly resolve issues.
• Remove defective devices and seek replacements from appropriate vendors.
• Install replacement devices with guidance from AV vendor
• Provides input and advice on clinical simulation technology, application, training, and overall technology performance.
• Assures that all PCs and Sim Lab staff laptops are updated with operating system and security patches.
• Works with SON IT team to resolve issues that require a different skill set.
• Assists Simulation Center Director with faculty education and training regarding use of Simulation AV technologies.
• Submits relevant information into the centralized Asset Management system via Service Now.
• Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
• Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as directed by the supervisor.
• Exceptional customer service skills and utilizes relationship-building techniques to create an immediate rapport with a wide variety of faculty and staff.
• Serves as the back-up for AV issues in the classrooms and conference rooms.
• May be required to work some nights and weekends.
• Contributes to the overall success of the Simulation Center – School of Nursing by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• May be required to complete certifications for related AV technologies.
• AVIXA, Qsys, Crestron, and Biamp knowledge is required. Certifications in these areas are desired.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
