The Simulation Program Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the success of the NHWSN Simulation Program at ENLC by overseeing a diverse range of administrative, technical, operational, and logistical functions. The role requires a proactive approach to coordinating resources, managing workflows, and ensuring seamless communication among staff, students, vendors, and contractors, thereby contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Simulation Program’s operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Standardized patient scheduling, training, and coordination following the Association of SP Educators (ASPE) Standards of Best Practice
- Support program requirements as it pertains to the Society for Simulation Healthcare Accreditation standards.
- Supports student and simulation activity scheduling and planning using various simulation Learning Management Systems (Elevate Learning Space, Canvas, CORE, etc.)
- Assists the Simulation Leadership Team with various projects and tasks, providing support as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
- Schedules and attends team meetings and documents accurate meeting minutes for distribution.
- Coordinates and assists with tours highlighting our simulation center for visitors, prospective students, and stakeholders
- Periodically provides support with the preparation and operating of simulation equipment or the simulation capture system during activities.
- Maintains excellent customer service skills and effective communications with all clientele and co-workers.
- Performs other related duties as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of a specific program.
- Develops strategic plans and objectives that ensure the program's continued success, and develops evaluation methods to assess outcomes.
- Conducts program research and ensures that the preparation of mandatory operational, statistical, and financial reports are accurate and factual, and that all reports comply with federal and state regulations and/or institutional policies.
- Designs training programs and materials, conducts training sessions, and represents the program at various conferences, meetings, or seminars.
- May plan, administer, or monitor the program's budget and/or grants, and conduct financial forecasting for the program.
- May develop fundraising programs, including researching and identifying funding sources, and writing and submitting grant proposals.
- Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program; may write and present speeches.
- Maintains complete and accurate program records.
- May serve on or chair various University committees.
- May supervise program staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree in a field related to specified program areas and five years related program management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Software Platforms - Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Proficiency in Communication Platforms (Zoom, MS Teams) for daily tasks and coordination
- Ability to complete job responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy under minimum supervision
- Ensure that tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining a high standard of work.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Exceptional computer based organizational skills including maintaining accurate and detailed reports and records
- Excellent public relations and communication skills using proper etiquette both electronically and interpersonally
- Passion for learning and acquiring new skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Prior experience in simulation and/or event planning and preparation.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
