Join Emory Digital as a Salesforce Administrator, leading the configuration, maintenance, and advancement of the Salesforce platform to support Emory's mission. The Salesforce platform underpins critical research administration, investigator-led initiatives, and core university functions. You will collaborate with world-class researchers, physicians, students, and staff, contributing to discoveries in health sciences, education, and beyond.

 

As a key member of the Salesforce Competency Center within the Enterprise Applications group, you will work alongside developers, business analysts, and architects to deliver high-quality Salesforce applications. Your work will help establish best practices, standards, and patterns while driving continuous improvement of the Emory Digital Salesforce ecosystem.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Act as the primary system administrator/developer for multiple Salesforce orgs and environments.
  • Provide thought leadership in solution design, ensuring scalability, performance, and high availability of Salesforce applications that align with best practices.
  • Perform core Sales, Service and Marketing Cloud administrative and development tasks.
  • Design workflows, automation, dashboards, and reports to enhance user experience.
  • Conduct routine system audits and manage system upgrades.
  • Oversee data integrations and Salesforce data feeds.
  • Evaluate, scope, and coordinate the completion of new development requests.
  • Collaborate with institutional management to establish effective processes for development, administration, and change management.
  • Train new users and promote the development of Salesforce skills across the organization.
  • Serve as a liaison between users, vendors, and development teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
  • Conduct fit-gap analyses between Salesforce capabilities and business needs.
  • Provide detailed level-of-effort (LOE) estimates for proposed solutions.
  • Leads software projects.
  • Works with other developers to architect and design the individual project as well as implement the critical components.
  • Projects and applications may include Web and Grid services oriented systems; portal environments; client-server based applications; applications that manage, integrate, and analyze large scale databases; applications and middleware infrastructure that provide federated, secure access to multiple applications and databases; knowledge management and integration systems; and systems for high performance databases and analysis applications.
  • Architects and implements interoperable middleware components, data models, and interfaces for integration of multiple software systems, applications, and databases.
  • Develops and integrates software for secure and controlled access to application components and databases.
  • Designs and implements graphical user interfaces for components of a software system and for applications.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and three years of software engineering or related experience.
  • Experience with software engineering best practices such as software design patterns, requirements gathering, version control, automated testing, and configuration management is required.
  • Experience with service oriented architectures, web services, Grid technologies, distributed computing strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator with expertise in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. Marketing Cloud and Education Cloud a plus.
  • Proven, hands-on experience with:
    • User administration and role hierarchy management.
    • Security model definition and management.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
