Description

Join the ExPHR Laboratory at Emory University School of Medicine, where we focus on advancing our understanding of physical activity and its effects on aging and neurological health. We are looking for a dedicated and driven Graduate Research Assistant who can contribute to groundbreaking research in precision health and rehabilitation.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Recruit and screen participants: Assist with study advertisement, participant recruitment, and review medical records to ensure eligibility for enrollment.
  • Execute behavioral interventions: Perform interviews, administer surveys, and deliver physical activity interventions to midlife-to-older adult participants.
  • Manage study logistics: Schedule assessments and interventions, create and maintain study materials, and ensure participant retention throughout the study.
  • Data collection and handling: Collect and process data, including conducting cognitive and functional assessments, phlebotomy and blood processing, and shipping biological samples according to protocol.
  • Data management and analysis: Reduce, organize, and maintain research data, while assisting in quality assurance procedures.
  • Regulatory and compliance support: Track regulatory submissions and ensure the study complies with all institutional and ethical guidelines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, biology, health science, neuroscience, kinesiology, or another health-related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience with clinical trials involving older adults and/or experience teaching exercise classes.
  • This role offers opportunities for professional development in clinical research, hands-on experience with older adult interventions, and access to Emory’s renowned research network.
This position is intended to support clinical research and all clinical training requirements must be tracked and monitored through Emory Healthcare under the credentialing category of Clinical Researcher.
 
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
