Description

There are 11 open Fellowships available and fellows will be placed throughout several clinical sites of Emory Healthcare within the Atlanta Metro Area.

 

Deadline to apply is June 2, 2025.

 

Each Fellowship is awarded as a limited position for two years only. 

  • Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team providing spiritual care to patients and families in medical specialties where chronic illness and pain are evident such as Winship Cancer, Palliative Care, Staff Support, Critical Care and Brain Health.
  • Participates in research agenda.
  • Participates in continuous collaboration with educators, team members and other health care professionals to promote environment of care, healing and professional development.
  • CCSH Fellows are expected to engage in the learning and practice of CBCT, develop a personalized certification pathway, and to learn and implement the CCSH interventional approach through individual study, clinical practice and group work.
  • Understands and complies with Spiritual Health policies, Vail Health policies, and applicable Emory Healthcare and Emory University policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in Theology or Divinity.
  • Four units of education in program credentialed by ACPE.
  • Affiliation with ecclesiastical body preferred but not required.
  • For majority, the goal would be to become a registered CCSH interventionist through Spiritual Health at Emory Healthcare and Emory's collaboration with the Center for Contemplative Science and Compassion-Based Ethics at Emory, not through ACPE.
  • This is a time limited position for two years.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
