Description

The Associate Director oversees student-facing services, compliance tracking, clinical scheduling, onboarding, and residency application support, working closely with faculty, administrators, and clinical partners to enhance the student experience and overall program effectiveness. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing policies, programs, and operational strategies that support medical students from matriculation, progression through clinical training and graduation. Successful candidates will have strong leadership and oversight experience of student affairs/clinical years of medical education.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Directs the registration and student affairs operations of medical and allied health students.
  • Responsible for Transcript Compliance Audits on graduation candidates.
  • Oversees the creation, administration, maintenance, storage and archiving of student files within the School of Medicine.
  • Manages special projects related to document management file conversion.
  • Interfaces with departments to expand educational resources for students and faculty.
  • Participates in accreditation process.
  • Assists in planning, administering and monitoring capital equipment, operations and employee budgets.
  • Processes student grades and enforces Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).
  • Serves as liaison to other departments both within and outside of the School of Medicine.
  • Assists in planning, coordinating, and scheduling special events and commencement exercises.
  • Maintains enrollment data for reporting to both internal and external agencies.
  • May supervise staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and three years of student registration/affairs or related experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

 

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
