Description

  • Responsible for handling confidential documents and transporting to an on-site shredding facility for destruction.
  • Oversees and performs the destruction of confidential documents.
  • Supports the operation of a shredding or bailing machine, as well as other warehouse equipment.
  • Assures superior customer service to both external and internal customers by providing accurate and timely follow-through on all inquiries.
  • Evaluates processes to ensure optimization of resources in relation to route management and operations.
  • Adheres to and complies with Emory University safety and security standards.
  • Manages work orders daily to ensure customer satisfaction and that work orders are ready for billing within monthly deadline.
  • Communicates with supervisor to ensure work orders are processed on-time and labor completed.
  • Assists in facility and vehicle management maintenance.
  • Ensures a clean, safe work environment in compliance with company standards as well as federal, state and local requirements.
  • Reviews and audits all relevant information related to operations on a daily basis and follows up where appropriate.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of customer service or related experience.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines relative to sensitive document handling and destruction.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis and to bend, stoop and twist.
  • A valid Georgia driver's license.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee. Roland Benoit
