Description

The Graduate Research Assistant will support the daily u operations and content management of the CHAMPS Network’s social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and X. Responsibilities include planning, creating, scheduling, and posting content for various social media initiatives. The Graduate Research Assistant will work with our Communications team and will directly report to the Associate Director of Communications.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Content Creation

  • Social Media Management

  • Collaborate with the Assoc. Dir of Communications to develop monthly social media strategies

  • Create engaging, and brand-appropriate written and visual content for the CHAMPS social media platforms.

  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all social media posts, including language and imagery.

  • Help create content as dictated by the monthly editorial calendar to promote CHAMPS Impact, programs and interventions.

  • Planning and Campaign Execution.

  • Interact with followers by communicating and answering questions through the CHAMPS social media platforms.

  • Assist in implementing plans to increase followers on popular social media platforms such as X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn.

  • Assist in drafting and developing concept notes for social media campaigns and appropriate social media CHAMPS event coverage.

  • Under direct or general supervision, performs a variety of tasks requiring limited independent judgment.
  • May research, compile and prepare routine or ad-hoc reports.
  • May research and maintain records, files and logs.
  • May initiate or maintain contact with customers, vendors or contractors and respond to, research and resolve inquiries of a routine nature.
  • May organize meetings or other venues and arrange for logistical needs such as set up, handouts, reports, speakers and clean up.
  • May assist in developing, implementing and managing programs or projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled as a graduate student in a college or university pursuing a graduate degree.
  • Completion of undergraduate degree required and must be in good academic standing.
  • College transcripts required as part of interview process.

  • As a result of working as the Graduate Research Assistant , the student will have the opportunity to acquire and further develop their communication skills, time management, attention to detail, adaptability, and research skills.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
