Description

We are seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic part-time Assistant Program Coordinator to support ongoing local and nationwide randomized controlled trials of mobile health interventions aimed at improving communication and treatment adherence for women with breast cancer. Our research focuses on leveraging technology to monitor oral chemotherapy adherence and improve patient health outcomes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Screen, recruit, consent, and manage participants in ongoing trials.
  • Support survey distribution and participant engagement via online portals and text messaging.
  • Learn and manage technology platforms for adherence monitoring devices.
  • Abstract data from electronic medical records.
  • Assist with IRB submissions, modifications, and regulatory compliance.
  • Create and maintain study databases (REDCap) and generate data reports.
  • Develop study materials, including recruitment scripts, templates, newsletters, manuals of operation, and protocols.
  • Conduct literature reviews and prepare presentation materials.
  • Train and supervise student research assistants.
  • Coordinate and participate in team meetings.
  • Contribute to manuscripts and other research outputs.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior research experience, especially with REDCap, IRB processes, electronic medical record navigation, and participant recruitment.
  • Knowledge of breast cancer care.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
