Description

As a Graphic Design Intern in Emory University’s Department of Communications and Marketing for Summer 2026,you’llbecome part of a select intern cohortthat will be immersed in the higher education communications experience.With the Creative Director's guidance, your role involves crafting impactful designs for print and digital, innovating social media visuals, and propelling the university's brand into new creative territories.This unique internship experienceisn'tjust about supportingday-to-day tasks;it'sabout immersing yourself in a collaborative environment, activelyparticipatingin campaigns with real-world implications and seizing professional development opportunities designed to empower your career journey. 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Design engaging templates for social media, presentations, and digital content.
  • Assistwithbrandingefforts by learning university guidelines, fielding requests, and routing toappropriate teammembers.
  • Effectively manage various projects against tight deadlines 
  • Contribute to Emory’s campus by helping organize memorable university events. 
  • Bringnew ideasto the table during brainstorming sessions and contribute your fresh perspective to the creative direction of projects. 
  • Dive into a wealth of professional development opportunities,broadeningyour horizons andbuildingyour network. 
  • Collaborate on a campaign projectfrom conception to execution. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • Available for 20 hours each week during the summer 202semester. 
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree (B.S., B.A., M.A., or M.S.) with a GPA of 3.0 or above. 
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing and presenting. 
  • Strongrelationship-buildingand client service skills. 
  • A detail-oriented and organized approach to tasks. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especiallyPowerPoint, Excel, and Word. 
  • A positive and professional attitude. 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator,andInDesign). 
  • Experienceusing AdobeAfter Effectsis a plus. 

 

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee
