Description

The School of Nursing seeks a Senior Program Coordinator to support its Health Sciences programs. The Sr. Program Coordinator of Health Sciences is responsible for program management and student support for one or more of the undergraduate or graduate health sciences programs at the School of Nursing. They will collaborate with the Office of Admissions, Student Affairs, Clinical and Community Partnerships, and Office of the Registrar. The Sr. Program Administrator will serve as program liaison for prospective, admitted, current, and graduating students. This individual will adhere to strategic goals and initiatives that ensure the Office of Education’s continued success and contribute to evaluation methods to assess outcomes. This position reports to the Director of Academic Administration.

 

PROGRAM DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate and implement program services in conjunction with department and faculty administrators.
  • Manage complete and accurate program dashboards, data, and records.
  • Communicate and manage student updates to SON departments for clinical placements, student services, and student record purposes.
  • Develop program communications and information for admitted, deposited, and current students.
  • Oversee individual program budget in partnership with program director; process program-related expenses and reimbursements.
  • Manage program meeting schedule for students and faculty.
  • Assist and/or manage program accreditation report process.
  • Collaborate with the Office of the Registrar for student progression-related audits, special registration needs, and Immersion trip support.
  • Oversee student registration process during enrollment blocks and drop/add periods.
  • Initiate and execute all student forms for registrar processing.
  • Facilitate program-related travel logistics for program director, faculty, and students.
  • Develop and execute all program student events including: new student orientation and socials, cohort huddles, student town halls, program socials/mixers, student project presentations, intensive weeks, finals week, student group hosted events, grant-related student events, and Immersion Support.
  • Serve as Office of Education representative for school-wide and university-wide events.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • May hire and supervise student employees; may manage volunteers.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of a specific program.
  • Develops strategic plans and objectives that ensure the program's continued success, and develops evaluation methods to assess outcomes.
  • Conducts program research and ensures that the preparation of mandatory operational, statistical, and financial reports are accurate and factual, and that all reports comply with federal and state regulations and/or institutional policies.
  • Designs training programs and materials, conducts training sessions, and represents the program at various conferences, meetings, or seminars.
  • May plan, administer, or monitor the program's budget and/or grants, and conduct financial forecasting for the program.
  • May develop fundraising programs, including researching and identifying funding sources, and writing and submitting grant proposals.
  • Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program; may write and present speeches.
  • Maintains complete and accurate program records.
  • May serve on or chair various University committees.
  • May supervise program staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in a field related to specified program areas and five years related program management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Focus on customer service and student experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software programs. 

HOURS OF WORK:

  • This position is exempt and is expected to be available between 8am – 5pm.
  • There may be occasional evening and weekend work based on the needs of the department. 

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
