Description

The Goizueta Business School is seeking a student-centered professional to join our team and support the academic success, engagement, and development of our students. This role serves as a trusted advisor and resource, guiding students through their academic journey while providing support with course planning, degree progress, and educational opportunities. The ideal candidate will combine strong communication and relationship-building skills with a passion for student success, utilizing data, strategic communications, and programming to enhance the student experience. Working closely with faculty, staff, and university partners, this individual will contribute to advising initiatives, student events, enrollment analysis, and academic operations that help students achieve their academic and professional goals.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in coordinating one or more student academic functions for a school or program such as admissions, financial aid, registration or student placement.
  • Advises and coaches current students to help them determine and reach their academic and professional goals.
  • Supports students in academic course selection to meet those goals and maintain progress towards degree.
  • Maintains and updates advising-related forms and materials.
  • Compiles and analyzes course enrollment data to track trends and determine demand. Plans and develops communications, materials, and events to educate and inform targeted audiences.
  • May collaborate with registrar on degree tracker updates and troubleshooting, as well as degree clearance processes.
  • Oversees processes for students changing academic careers or transferring from the institution.
  • Serves on university-wide committees as a representative of the school.
  • May provide assistance with study abroad processes, including the review of applications, transcripting of courses from partner institutions, and grade entry, as well as building relationships with partner schools via attendance at national conferences.
  • Assists with planning and execution of large-scale events. May supervise clerical personnel.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, higher education, counseling, or related field and five years of experience in advising, registration, student affairs or a related field at an institution of higher education.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
