Description

Reporting to the VP for ERP Transformation, the PMO Lead is accountable for day-to-day execution of the Workday ERP Transformation across all Emory workstreams.

 

The role coordinates the integrated program plan with Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Research Administration, IT, and Change Management leaders, serves as a central escalation point, manages cross-workstream dependencies, supports governance and leadership decisions, and ensures Emory deliverables remain within approved scope, schedule, and budget.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Owns Emory's integrated program plan, governance calendar, delivery standards, and core program management artifacts in coordination with the Vice President of ERP Transformation.
  • Coordinates day-to-day program execution with consultants and aligns Emory workstream plans, deliverables, dependencies, and acceptance activities.
  • Maintains integrated scope, schedule, budget, resource, milestone, and status reporting for program leadership.
  • Manages risks, issues, decisions, actions, and cross-workstream dependencies; ensures timely escalation and follow-through.
  • Facilitates leadership meetings, working sessions, and governance forums with clear agendas, decisions, owners, and due dates.
  • Provides consistent program reporting and decision support to executive sponsors, steering committee members, and functional leaders.
  • Oversees adherence to program methods, quality expectations, and deliverable review and acceptance processes.
  • Coordinates integrated cutover, deployment, stabilization, and transition planning across Emory workstreams.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, finance, or a related field and ten years of progressively responsible program or project leadership experience, including leadership of a large, complex enterprise transformation.
  • Master's degree and PMP, PgMP, or comparable program management credential preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in integrated planning, governance, scope and budget management, risk and dependency management, and executive reporting.
  • Experience leading an ERP or enterprise cloud implementation with a large systems integrator; direct Workday experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, hold internal and external teams accountable, resolve competing priorities, and communicate clearly under pressure.
  • Experience in higher education, academic medicine, healthcare, or another complex multi-entity environment preferred.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
