NOTE: THIS POSITION IS AT THE YERKES FIELD STATION, LAWRENCEVILLE, GA
This position involves studying immune responses to viruses and bacteria at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center Field Station . The successful candidate will isolate cells and plasma from whole blood, perform immunological assays (e.g. ELISPOT and flow cytometry), and use molecular biology to help develop new reagents for studying immune interactions. The successful applicant will have strong computer skills and will embrace modern informatics approaches and “big data” analyses.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in planning and executing large experiments, will have a strong academic background, and show exceptional enthusiasm and willingness to work independently. The successful applicant will participate in routine lab maintenance and other ongoing projects in laboratory.
