JOB DESCRIPTION: Plans and implements one or more muli-platform operating systems, utilities, and related software to meet organizational needs. May be responsible for applications on dedicated servers. Ensures the availability, integrity and reliability of assigned systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Five years of operating systems analysis/administration experience OR a bachelor's degree and three years of operating systems analysis/administration experience.
To actively participate in the CS IT technical strategic initiatives and team activities to keep up a healthy team operation.
To be responsible for the delegated servers’ installation, implementation, maintenance and monitor to ensure server inventory records and related documents updated.
To manage applications hosted on the assigned servers. To perform trouble shoot and back-ups to ensure service availability and reliability.
To create disk images for CS/IT group and deployment workflow to ensure users data backup and restore successfully
To build and architect proof-of-concept test environment to facilitate system and application testing for recommendation.
Support and manage file server access requests.
Support windows server and client operating systems.
To provide end-user/client support for email related requests and/or issues.
To provide support for PCs at remote locations in other buildings across campus that display energy usage to monitors.
