    FORMAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of a specific Law School program including program-related conferences, conventions and/or meetings. Develops work plans to accomplish program goals and objectives and monitors progress toward their achievement. Identifies and pursues ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative procedures used by students and faculty. Actively participates in committees pertaining to academic/programmatic services. Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program. Responds to inquiries regarding program requirements. Advises students on matters related to the program; develops resources to address particular needs. Provides direction, referral, and placement resources to students seeking employment opportunities in their respective field of study. Develops promotional and communication materials which may include content for reports, briefings, newsletters, grants or other written information related to the program. May assist in identifying funding resources and in developing fund-raising strategies and initiatives. Prepares operational and statistical reports. Maintains complete and accurate program records. May maintain and update the departmental website. May supervise program staff, interns, and/or volunteers. Performs related responsibilities as required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    Specific Program Responsibilities:


    This position reports to the Executive Director, Graduation and Online Programs and supports all aspects of residential and online graduate programs.


    The project coordinator interfaces internally with students in all degree programs, Admissions, the Office of Professional Development and Career Strategy, Marketing and Communications, Development and Alumni Relations, Finance, and various faculty and their administrative staff. 


    Some of the responsibilities of the Program Coordinator will include:

    • Administrative: Maintain calendars for multiple individuals, including faculty and outside contractors; manage faculty contracts in coordination with Human Resources; oversee and direct materials/projects across different groups; create spreadsheets and databases for tracking and documentation; creating reports/queries
    • Student Support: Act as first-line of support to students to include advisement on program requirements, deadlines, etc.; assess student needs and escalate to appropriate faculty, when necessary.  Track student contact, etc. within a database system: Radius
    • Event/Project Coordination: Handle logistics for all program events in collaboration with School of Law Events manager and others; coordinate travel arrangments; General tasks across projects include event planning, arranging travel and creating guest itineraries, facilitating presentations and training sessions representing the programin various internal and external meetings as requested; supervision/interface with student employees, when necessary
    • Budget: Track monthly expenses; processing expense reports, reimbursements; process paments to outside vendors, etc.; handle all other program-related exprenses
    • Student Organizations; Interface with student organizations; JM Society; LLM Society
    • Support other activities of the program as requested.


    For all of the program’s efforts, the project coordinator manages, updates and maintains information for the website, social media, digital announcements in collaboration with Marketing/Communications staff; PowerPoint presentations, and other communications to stakeholders, and creates and maintains various reports of ongoing activities


    Specific software and programs:  Radius; Compass, OPUS, Box, Wufoo, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office 365, 25Live


    Preferred skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, outstanding organizational skills, self-starter who demonstrates initiative, demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and prioritize effectively; works well independently and collaborates effectively as part of a team.
