JOB DESCRIPTION: Creates and maintains a data dictionary and meta data. Supports efforts to ensure that data standards are developed and maintained. Ensures that the uses of data through reports and queries are accurate. Supports business and system re-engineering and architecture development to define future data needs. Serves as an organizational consultant on matters relating to databases by providing expertise to assist users in meeting their needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of experience in processes and standards related to data OR a bachelor's degree.
BACKGROUND: The Task Force for Global Health is an Emory University affiliate located in Decatur, GA. Its eight programs focus on building durable public health systems that serve all people. Focus areas include neglected tropical diseases, vaccines, and health systems strengthening. The Task Force received the 2016 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize–the world's largest award of its kind–in recognition of its extraordinary contributions to alleviating human suffering.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The data analyst will provide broad support to TEPHINET as it assesses its information technology needs and restructures its systems to better position itself for the implementation of its new strategy. The data analyst will also provide project support. S/he will serve as a super-user for an alumni database platform, ensure the development of an e-learning platform that meets TEPHINET requirements, and manage the operations of a calibrated peer review system which is being piloted.
