    JOB DESCRIPTION:

     

    Assists in coordinating, providing input for, monitoring and improving the human resources and business operational activities. Assists in planning, implementing and evaluating a variety of activities and special projects affecting area's operations. Coordinates or assists in preparing departmental budgets and forecasts of future budget requirements. May ensure that awarded grants conform to defined budget parameters. Negotiates new and renewal contracts with vendors. Directs logistical and clerical support activities, and coordinates specific data collection efforts and special projects. Designs and generates reports. May supervise staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field and three years of professional business or management experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. Some positions in this classification may require previous supervisory experience.

    This position will join the Business and Finance team in the Laney Graduate School at Emory University. The ideal candidate is committed to Emory’s academic mission and interested in supporting the institution’s goals.

     

    Key Responsibilities:  

    • Coordinate fiscal, human resources, and business operations for 1,800 graduate students across 50 doctoral and master’s programs.
    • Manage data to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with university and sponsor policies.
    • Facilitate the development and administration of business processes to optimize operational effectiveness.
    • Interface with graduate program faculty, staff, and students to reconcile accounts and perform cost analyses.
    • Collaborate with central divisions including Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Research Administration, Financial Aid, Student Financial Services, and International Student and Scholar Services.
