    JOB DESCRIPTION: Creates, updates and maintains microcomputer and\or mainframe-based databases in support of clinical, research, business development and\or administrative operations and ensures the quality of the data contained in each. Assists in the management of interfaces to the database. Utilizes supplemental tools within the database system to support the business process by entering data, including system setup tables. Extracts data as needed by running ad hoc reports, processing label and communication requests. Facilitates an understanding of system related fundamentals with end users and assists in production and microcomputer support. Produces and edits automated reports to be used in decision making processes. Maintains the integrity of the database. Performs related responsibilities as required.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A BA degree in Administration or Communications. Extensive knowledge of networking, database, storage and related technologies. Ability to implement, administer and maintain new system hardware/software. Ability to communicate effectively with others to determine technical requirements and possible solutions. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing at all levels within and outside the organization. 

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent and three years of data entry, database management, or clerical experience. DATE CREATED/MODIFIED/REVIEWED: 07/20/06 DRS

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS: This person will need to assist with compliance with external public health practicum or (Applied practical experience) for all public health graduates students. Work with Office of Career Development databases: c3m, HandShake, etc. This person will work closely with staff managing these systems. This person may assist in event with logistics, setup, cleanup and office duties when needed. Create protocals, and input required Applied practical experiences of all graduate students for global experiences into HandShake and verification that employers and positions are accurate and authentic. May perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning. May Participate in the operation and maintenance of systems.This person may assist with working on projects for the accreditation process.

    • Ability to become comfortable with and utilizing new databases.
    • Ability to work with multiple systems inputting data with integrity, accuracy.
    • Ability to work as a team member and independently to assist in managing databases and systems.
    • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all system resources and key processes.
    • Review system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs. Assist in Managing security of system and individual accounts and privileges.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both inside and outside the organization.
    • Ability to work as a team member and independently to manage databases and systems.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally over email, phone and in-person with global partners across the world to ensure compliance of positions for current graduate students.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi task and complete tasks in a timely manner.

    • Create and implement Quality assurances and create a system of vetting global partners, faculty, (phone call, email in person) to ensure standards are in place for our students.

    • Strong ability to learn new software quickly and with minimal error.

    • Input positions into HandShake system, c3M, create spreadsheets using EXCEL, effectively use Mail Merge
