  • Description



    Under general supervision, monitors, controls, inspects, contains, removes transports, and/or segregate hazardous material (biological, chemical, radioactive or other). Provides support to ensure compliance with applicable standards, laws and regulations. Performs surveys and routine safety inspections. Participates in training for program areas. Responds to internal clients regarding chemical, biosafety, radiation safety and industrial hygiene concerns. Maintains records and prepares reports. Responds to emergency situations involving hazardous materials. Assists with testing certification and maintenance of biological safety cabinets and/or chemical fume hoods. Maintains storage areas, equipment, and personal protective equipment related to hazardous waste program. May be on-call after hours to respond to emergency situations. Performs related responsibilities as required.



    Bachelors degree in math, science, or engineering. Experience in an environmental, healthcare, safety, or customer service related field is preferred. Equivalent combination of experience, education and training is accepted. 

    Additional Details

    Preferred Qulifications: 

     Requires working a modified shift from 11:30AM to 8:30PM at least one day per week. Experience in healthcare, safety, environmental, or customer service. High School Diploma - required. Bachelors degree - desired but not required
