Provide specialized research support for assigned patient populations in accordance with established research protocols. Performs patient evaluations, administers medications and provides nursing support to perform specialized diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures. Will work as part of a team to provide continuous programmatic coverage to screen, recruit and enroll patients in acute care related research protocols, many of which will evolve in an emergent manner. The patient population will largely consist of patients in acute care settings to include Emergency Rooms, NeuroCritical Care, Surgical ICU and patients with complex diseases that may involve time sensitive treatment or procedures. Must be able to interact well with physicians, associate providers, nursing and ancillary staff under potentially critical/traumatic situations. Flexible schedule, with expectation of shared night/weekend availability to allow for 24/7 enrollments into our acute research trials.
NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
