The Task Force for Global Health is an Emory University affiliate located in Decatur, GA. Its eight programs focus on building durable public health systems that serve all people. Focus are-as include neglected tropical diseases, vaccines, and health systems strengthening. The Task Force received the 2016 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize–the world's largest award of its kind–in recognition of its extraordinary contributions to alleviating human suffering.

CENTER FOR VACCINE EQUITY (CVE)/COALITION BACKGROUND: The Center for Vaccine Equity (CVE) works to assure all people have equal access to life-saving vaccines by expanding availability, supporting vaccine impact studies, and building delivery systems that facilitate access in developing countries. CVE also serves as Secretariat for a number of global health partnerships that advance this mission. COVID-19 is a serious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus, currently the cause of the ongoing pandemic. COVID-19 is potentially vaccine preventable, and several vaccines are in late stage of development. Under direction of the Project Director and the Director of Projects, and in collaboration with project team epidemiologists and other technical staff, the Project Manager will have responsibility to provide project management support for a portfolio of ten (10) countries.

The Project Manager for the Center for Vaccine Equity (CVE) directs the planning, development, and operations of a program with the Task Force for Global Health.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Supports planning, development, and implementation of country level programs with the COVID Vaccination program
• Works with the Project Director, Sr. Project Manager, and epidemiologists to define scope, work plans, timelines, and resource needs and to establish key milestone dates for country award implementation plans.
• Contributes to the development of country subaward budgets aligned with the implementation plan; monitors progress and performance.
• Monitors, assesses and reports risk to relevant team leadership. May contribute to development of risk mitigation recommendations and strategies.
• Reports portfolio progress on a regular basis through verbal and written updates. Draft program status updates, briefs and reports.
• Provides information required to prepare annual financial and program reports to external parties with interests in the program.
• Develops and monitors contracts. Coordinates with financial analyst to assure accurate and timely amendment and renewal of contracts.
• Reviews and approves country financial reports and expense documentation. Provides required information and documentation to assure accurate and timely payment of invoices and scheduled payments.
• Ensures activities comply with federal and international laws and regulations.
• Represents the program in various national and international fora, and actively engages with representatives from other NGO's for purposes of conducting research and designing new initiatives.
• Acts as a liaison to partner organizations and all project related personnel and affiliates, with a high level of diplomacy and tact.
• Establishes and maintains regular collaborative contact with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Participates in problem solving and resolution of operational issues.
• Performs other related duties as required.

TRAVEL:

15-20% domestic and/or international travel

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in field related to specific program as indicated

AND

• Six years program related experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in a field related to the program
• Experience in creating and managing project plans
• Proficiency with SMARTSheet and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power-Point, etc.)
• Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills; high attention to detail and quality
• Experience with healthcare delivery in the developing world preferred.
• Proficiency in a second language
• Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
• Previous experience working on international projects
