Located 36 miles east of Atlanta on Emory’s original campus in Oxford, Georgia, Oxford College invites applications for a Housing Coordinator, Isolation and Quarantine.

This position is Regular full-time status and term-limited to between 9 month to 1 year, based on business needs.


  • The Housing Coordinator must maintain flexibility to work weekends and overnight based on campus needs, assisting students in a socially distant manner in isolation and quarantine.
  • Responsible for responding to issues overnight and serving as a professional support staff member to students in isolation and quarantine as well as bridging the gap between campus life services.
  • Provides initial in-person response to quarantine duty calls placed during hours worked and virtual response to isolation duty calls.
  • Escalates duty calls to the Residence Life Coordinator on-call, as situations and needs warrant.
  • Assists in upholding University policies, procedures, and behavioral expectations of students in quarantine housing.
  • Notifies appropriate parties on a nightly basis of any and all issues related to student concerns, safety and security, and wellbeing.
  • Assists in developing education materials and resources for students in isolation or quarantine housing. Monitors the quarantine environment by conducting rounds of the hotel floor and reporting issues.
  • Provides a positive living environment for students in quarantine housing that is conducive to living and learning through direct communication and check-ins.
  • Attends weekly Campus Life meetings, events, and trainings as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Student Support.


  • A high school diploma or equivalent and three years of related experience;
  • A bachelor's degree and one year of experience working in a college or university student residential environment and setting is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required; must be insurable.


NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home temporarily during the COVID-19 pandemic, with intent to return to an Emory University location in the future.  Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
