  • Coordinates or assists in clinical or research activities related to the psychological evaluation and treatment of patients or research participants.
  • Provides psychological, physiological and/or behavioral assessments of patients.
  • May conduct tests for cognitive abilities. Recruits, screens, and conducts clinical evaluations of potential participants; assists in determining their eligibility to participate in clinical trials.
  • Collects, compiles and analyzes data related to various psychological or behavioral studies.
  • Extracts statistical data and prepares reports. Conducts interviews and schedules regular visits with study participants and their caregivers.
  • Educates patients concerning research procedures, investigational devices, and drugs.
  • May provide instruction and advice concerning post-study therapy and behavior management.
  • Maintains accurate and complete documentation on the delivery of mental health care services for each study participant.
  • Makes referrals to mental health professionals or services.
  • May dispense medication in compliance with research protocols.
  • Maintains required documentation. Attends and participates in regular administrative and clinical staff meetings.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.


  • A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or a related field. Two years of directly related experience.


NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
