Applications are invited for a 2-year postdoctoral fellow position in the Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics & Gerontology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. This position will have a focus on neurorehabilitation in neurodegenerative disease using creative movement therapies and will involve neuroimaging techniques, motion analysis, clinical motor, cognitive and psychosocial function exams, and inflammatory biomarker assessments, under the supervision of Dr. Madeleine E. Hackney. Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant field, (eg, movement science/kinesiology, health & human performance, rehabilitation, cognitive psychology, gerontology, neuroscience). Strong candidates will have a robust publication record, with excellent writing skills, data analysis skills (fMRI, biomechanics), statistical knowledge, interests in motor control/learning, gerontology, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, cognition, and novel forms of rehabilitation for older populations.
