This is a College Internship Opportunity: (Part-time)

Task Foprce for Global Health:

ITST Background:

  • Information Technology plays a vital and ever-expanding role in the TFGH mission. The TFGH information technology environment is highly distributed and diverse, with leadership and coordination from the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and direct report units. The TFGH Information Technology Services Team (ITST) is responsible for all aspects of information technology services from help desk services to digital transformation. ITST aims to allow team members flexible work arrangements and align responsibilities with their IT areas of interest based on the organization needs. The ITST operates as a collaborative unit with a servant leader culture that empowers direct reports with the tools they need to be successful.

Project Information:

  • Organize and Catalog IT Hardware

Activities and Opportunities:

  • Under the supervision of Nancy Brady the intern will:
    • Identify and catalog IT assets by performing an audit and organizing inventory
    • Populate an asset management system and associate identifying attributes
    • Identify hardware and software service catalog components
    • Provide reports on asset assignment, inventory and usage

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a college or university offering a four year degree. Completion of freshman year or higher and in good academic standing.
  • College transcripts required as part of interview process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills
  • An openness to learning new chronologies

Job Description:

  • Under direct or general supervision, performs a variety of tasks requiring limited independent judgment.
  • May research, compile and prepare routine or ad-hoc reports.
  • May research and maintain records, files and logs.
  • May initiate or maintain contact with customers, vendors or contractors and respond to, research and resolve inquiries of a routine nature.
  • May organize meetings or other venues and arrange for logistical needs such as set up, handouts, reports, speakers and clean up.
  • May assist in developing, implementing and managing programs or projects.
