The Assistant Director of Parking Facilities Project Maintenance works under the general direction of the Senior Director for Transportation and Parking Services, provides vision, leadership and execution of short and long term strategy for the parking facility capital restoration program and maintenance.



  • Establishes standards and guidelines for the maintenance of all parking assets, structures, and equipment.
  • Parking assets and equipment include parking decks, surface lots, lighting, parking access control equipment, cameras, and fire protection systems and equipment.
  • Reviews and interprets blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical documents associated with restoration and renovation of parking facilities.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with Planning, Design and Construction on parking and transportation capital projects, including scope development, budgets, schedule and implementation.
  • Establishes appropriate record-keeping systems to reflect activities associated with inspections and maintenance of parking assets, structures, and equipment.
  • Coordinates with the Parking Services group to promote customer service excellence.
  • Coordinates the Parking Rehabilitation and Renovation (PRR) capital program.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.


  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field and seven years broad-based experience with building codes, construction drawing and specification review, parking equipment and operations, facility maintenance, including two years in a management or supervisory capacity, OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Positions within this classification may require a valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
