Emory Center for AIDS Research

 

The PAIS Core Manager reports to the Core’s Associate-Directors and oversees the daily management and operation of the Core.Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of CFAR PAIS Core. Organizes activities of the Core. Establishes operational objectives and develops strategic plans in alignment with Core specific aims, to ensure program’s continued success in achieving the overall CFAR mission of facilitating HIV and AIDS research.

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Manages administrative and research activities in support of a specialized program or research center.
  • Develops plans for program growth and development and serves as a liaison to various committees or organizations.
  • May oversee the planning, logistics and implementation of various special events such as lectures, seminars, conferences, or research projects.
  • Participates in developing and implementing various program related communications such as websites, publications, multimedia or video productions.
  • May hire and supervise administrative or research related staff.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field. Five years of professional experience in a related field such as business administration, research, or information systems management.
  • Requires previous supervisory and program/project management experience.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with grants, project, or program management.
  • Experience with budget management.
  • Experience with data collection, monitoring, and outcome assessments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including development of programmatic materials and public speaking/training experience.
  • Knowledge of university environment and systems
    Facility with Microsoft Office Suite and other on-line resources such as Smartsheet.

 

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home temporarily during the COVID-19 pandemic, with intent to return to an Emory University location in the future.  Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
