  • Provides guidance and support to students and faculty in the Master of Analytical Finance (MAF) program in the Goizueta Business School (GBS).
  • Designs and implements cloud-based solutions to support and advance the academic and data needs of faculty and students including provisioning and configuring virtual machines/cloud-based infrastructure components and creating platforms to support big data analysis and workloads.
  • Designs and implements data management processes including extraction, transformation, and storage. Works with the program directors to acquire data from various sources and partners with faculty to sanitize data used in the classroom.
  • Provides coaching to students regarding data analysis, programming, and debugging and assists faculty in the classroom.
  • This support is provided either directly or via a pool of trained teaching assistants.
  • Provides written, recorded, or classroom tutorials on relevant topics.
  • Advises IT and Academic Leadership on technology needs.
  • Consults with student Capstone Project teams to tailor local and cloud computing resources to the needs of the project.
  • Monitors resource usage along with student teams and adjusts as indicated.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.



  • A bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field and three years of data analysis, programming or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • A master's degree in Math, Statistics or Computer Science preferred.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: R, Python, SQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing systems preferred.
  • Ability to operate in multiple OS environments preferred.
  • Experience working in higher education and with large data sets preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation abilities.




  • A master's degree in Math, Statistics or Computer Science preferred.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: R, Python, SQL.
  • Ability to operate in multiple OS environments preferred.
  • Experience working in higher education preferred.
  • Experience working with APIs for data extraction and with large data sets preferred.



NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department of work.  Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
