The Admissions Analyst at the Candler School of Theology reports to the Assistant Director of Admissions – Operations and Communications and is responsible for data reporting and analysis in the Candler Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, along with providing operational support. 



  • Manages the admissions process and maintenance of admissions, statistical, demographic and business records and data to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Manages data testing process and ensures accurate data is maintained.
  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures for the admissions process including, but not limited to, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or a related system.
  • Leads efforts to identify and implement new processes or process improvements to maximize efficiency and to provide accurate, timely, and customer-focused responses to inquiries.
  • Uses data from enrollment management and related systems to advance the admissions strategy in driving prospects to complete the application process.
  • Completes extensive data analysis to review prospect trends and make recommendations.
  • Assists in training new users on systems and implementing new initiatives in the enrollment management or related system.
  • Assists with recruitment and other student services projects and activities as needed.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.


  • Create and maintain weekly/monthly/annual admissions data reports
  • Update and assist in maintaining accurate records in Student Information System (OPUS)
  • Support Assistant Director of Operations and Communications and Assistant Dean of Admissions on data analysis, insight integration, and projections
  • Provide support for the office’s use of Slate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Assist in maintaining the communication series in CRM and mailings
  • Manage user side admissions interfaces, including admitted student checklists, incoming student portal, and Zendesk
  • Maintain registration and pre-event communication for on campus recruitment events
  • Manage campus visits including, but not limited to, room reservations, food orders, digital registration mailing, etc.
  • Pull budget and transaction reports out of Emory’s financial systems and reformat or add additional analysis, as necessary, for presentation to the admissions team Office Administration
  • Staff the front desk in the Candler admission suite, greet guests, in person or via phone, and direct them to resources, as appropriate.
  • Proactively build rapport with current and prospective students, provide information about the Candler resources available to help them.
  • Respond to prospective student inquiries, including the admissions and financial aid listservs, in a timely and effective manner, as appropriate, or direct the individual to the appropriate admissions staff person for assistance.
  • Process travel and expense reports and payment requests on behalf of the Candler admissions team via Emory’s Compass and Emory Express systems; process Candler sponsorships and conference registrations
  • Book travel and accommodations for conference and event guests, faculty, and students
  • Order supplies and equipment for the admissions office.
  • Support Candler event preparations.
  • Supplemental support for Candler’s student employment program.


  • Bachelor's degree and one year of admissions, academic services, data management or analysis, web development, training or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Strong Excel skills, including proficiency with sorting, advanced filtering and some knowledge of queries.
  • A basic knowledge of website development or maintenance applications.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
