Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Acts as the technology expert for the client services team.
  • Leads in assuring that the client services technology architecture and services are reliable, efficient, secure, robust, and meets the needs of the division or school.
  • Technologies include desktop hardware and peripherals, Windows and Macintosh operating systems, and client applications.
  • Leads in developing solutions based on client's needs.
  • Establishes and documents best practices for troubleshooting technology issues and preventive measures for minimizing the risks of issues from occurring.
  • Acts as the highest point of escalation for client services issues.
  • Mentors team members to help grow troubleshooting skill set.
  • Researches and evaluates emerging technologies and updates to determine usability and value to the division or school.
  • Maintains and advances the client service architecture.
  • Contributes to the training and mentor program.
  • Actively participates in the school-wide technology architecture committee.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience with operating systems, application support, and troubleshooting.
  • Previous experience in a lead role.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows or Macintosh OS and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of technology fundamentals including architecture, hardware and peripherals, technology standards, and information security.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree and five years of relevant IT experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Scripting experience (advance skills in power shell scripting)
  • SCCM and JAMF administration (app packaging, deployment, and maintenance including custom scripting).
  • The ideal candidate must be able to take end-to-end ownership of the SCCM and JAMF environments.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
