The ideal applicant will have extensive experience in preclinical models of inflammatory bowel disease including ulcerative colitis (UC) and metabolic syndrome, as well as have experience in microbiome research.   These models may include chemically induced UC, genetic models or immune stimulation, and high-fat diet induced obesity. The candidate is expected to have skills in mouse husbandry and surgery, as well as skills related to pathology, histology, molecular biology, and statistics/ data analysis.
